## Questions, answered plainly.

How do you detect catch-all domains?

We check the real address and a random address on the same domain. If the server accepts both, the result is catch\_all with risky quality. Eligible temporary SMTP replies, including greylisting, may receive a short retry after 75 seconds. The optional 15-minute target retry is disabled.

How is verification quality assessed?

We use established verifiers as reference points and publish our [608-address MillionVerifier comparison](https://agentsverify.dev/compare/millionverifier.md). It reports the result breakdown and disagreements. In that sample, we returned valid for seven addresses MillionVerifier marked unknown, and marked none of its valid addresses invalid.

What does each result cost?

A valid, invalid or catch\_all result costs one credit. Unknown is free: we do not charge when we cannot reach a conclusion. The price per credit changes with quantity; [see your exact total](https://agentsverify.dev/pricing.md).

Does a check send an email?

No. Our own distributed worker fleet checks syntax, DNS, MX and live SMTP recipient responses, with catch-all controls and retries for eligible temporary replies. It never sends an email body.

Can I use it from an AI agent?

Yes. Sign up, copy the starter prompt and paste it into your AI agent. It will ask for an API key, then help you verify the addresses you choose.

Can I choose the exact number of credits?
